The idea of precarity – of a tendency toward short-term, part-time and intermittent labour in postfordist capitalism – has become fashionable in recent years after its popularization by groups in Italy and France. There are many articles, books and films – which are produced by men, and generalize from their experience. Young, Female, Precarious was conceived as a feminist critique of precarity.
